*Scrapped, here is the final: [link]Coloring attempt of my linearts , I don't usually color my stuff at all but how is this? The coloring was done in Photoshop CS2, the background was simply done with Illustrator CS2. Please let me know which lineart method looks the best.

I am testing my coloring skills because I wish to color my submissions for the two KH Fanart Contests I found on ~LilyAsh . The one inked in the left is obviously my pencil sketch that is cleaned up and darkened with the help of Photoshop, whiles the one on the right is the result of Live Trace feature in Adobe Illustrator CS2, and some heavy modification because that function isn't perfect.
I want to know which method is the best for my submissions, I can never be bothered to ink my pencil sketches manually, in traditional nor digital way, but maybe I should really brush up my manual inking skills... Let me know what do you think, please. >.<
P.S.: The usual way I draw the hair make it almost impossible to be colored, so I had to find a new way.
P.S2: This and the later colored version will be scrapped when I decided the best lineart method and resubmitting the standalone piece.

Well...By my way, I dont have the pacience to draw..xD I like to paint, picking the colors make me so happy!xDD

seriously though, painting make me sick. I just hate staring at the screen for hours so I won't be coloring many of my stuff unless it is necessary or I feel like doing it. I much prefer my pencil sketches. XD

hey... u finally put things on color.. the one on the left (pencil line) looks more natural then the one on the right... the shadow n the folding on the cloth looks nice... how long u been working on this? nice one... keep the colors running..

Didn't count the hours but both pencil and colors are finished in 1 day, 5~6 hours, I think. XD Shadow and folding is done with smudges smudges smudges.

Inked one is slightly more bold..although to be honest it took me 5 minutes to find any differences. Nice color job better than my attempts XD.

So it doesn't matter which one I choose? The inked one is all black whiles the pencil one is somewhat "toned". >.<

I like coloring but I hate inking, hence I am bringing this up in a hope that people would think pencil linearts are alright, but I guess not. >.<
This whole pic is done by mouse, I usually use the pentool to select an area and fill it with colors. I have a tablet but I could never get used to it, it just keep going outof lines, lol.

It is actually the same for me, I spend a whole day staring at the screen for this and my eyes hurt thanks to the damn CRT monitor. Oh and trust me, when you get a tablet, drawing on it while keeping your eyes on the screen is just weird and different. XD Just noticed your colored ID, looks alright but why didn't you submit it as a new piece?

ick. Sorry to hear about the line art thing. I don't know how i feel about coloring..it feels icky to me, that being said i recently colored my ID and was thrilled with the results. So maybe i like coloring just not when i'm stressed and don't want to sit for 5 hours.

there both really good but the inked lineart slightly wins cuz it gives a sense of cleanness
