Was listening to this epic music [link] and I ended up learning about O2's history, which was a lot more dark and epic than you think for a game about a pink puffball (aka Kirby)

Condensed (ha) version: (may or may not be fully correct, but this is my understanding) 02 is a reincarnation of Zero, a boss from a previous Kirby game. I don't know too much about Zero, but it seems he was once a happy being, but wound up going down a bad path, hence why Kirby needed to beat him up the first time. In his reincarnation however 02 is only capable of feeling negative emotions. The halo is supposed to represent the good being he once was (which makes the fact that you have to destroy it to battle him 30x creepier), and the green cactus thing that comes out of him when you destroy the halo is supposed to represent all his overwhelming hatred towards everything. The band-aid is thought to represent when you beat Zero in the previous game apparently his eye actually jumps out of his body in what what was described as a "surprisingly graphic animation", which would have left a gaping hole in the top of his head. Also the reason why he has a smiling face when you first see him is thought that he is trying there to still be nice like his old self, but when he sees Kirby his rage overpowers him, and the smilie turns into the single eye.

Anyway, I never knew any of that, I always thought 02 as a cool, if random boss. Upon learning his history, I decided that deserved an epic drawing. (or the closest I could come up with xD).
