Description
10 x 14 inches watercolor on watercolor paperThe hedgehogs prepare for the winter, wondering if they have everything they need. Looks like they need to fill their basket some more. Boy, is it hard to scan snow right.

Oh thank you! I do fret over my colors, so glad they balance.

They are adorable! I have a pic of a baby hedgehog in my gallery, sweet animals, loud eaters, lol:

It could be an illustration for a fairy tale
I love the colours here.
Good piece of work!

this is so warm, and i love the hedgehogs they seem to have a very different personality. it looks like the right one is thinking about something interesting or dreaming and the left one is trying to hurry.
and i love the background too! it have a really nice texture and colour. is it sunset? or forest fire?

Your work is beautiful. It all feels so familier, like a childhood memory.

The bold strokes and colour used for the hedgehogs really set them apart from the faded background.
Interesting juxtaposition.

The background is truly stunning. How did you get the -leaves-in-the-air-or something- effect ?
The snow in the front is idd quite bright, but you could say it's just because of the strong light that shines from above

Thank you. I had a great deal of trouble with the lighting in this one. I tried it two other ways, but the way I thought it should be did not work
So I went for this lighter look. The background is just several washes of similar colors, and letting them dry.

this is soo brown and two hedgehogs. i really-really like this.
anyway, i think you can fix the scanning/color problems in photoshop, or any kind of program like it. that's what i usually do if scanning turns out worse than the original

I try to fix them in PhotoShop, but sometimes the color is so miscanned that I cannot adjust it quite back to where it needs to be. That and I'm too picky.

I know all to well about the aggravation of scanning light colors, especially snow. But for what it's worth it looks great!
