So how long did it took you to make wonderful piece of art? I bet it was difficult not to let the watercolor drip or slide to the other ones, but the reason I'm telling you this is because last time my brother try, I mean using watercolor it drip and slide to each other which came out ALL BLAH!!! The picture was nice but the surrounding not so good. I'm a drawer trying to learn how to watercolor can you give me so tips. So I Can try to make mine some how like yours? Thanks!!!!

i dont know... the lines took my sister 4h (yeah, im to stupid for them XD) but i did the sketch around 2h. then the color... haha... too long XDD but i think more than 10h
yeah, sometimes the color sliped over the lines but then i tried to "wash it away" with a bit water XD i just didnt take too much color and water at once and spread it so the water cant flow over the lines
this ones was my first real watercolor pic too⦠ok, i painted a few ones in school but they looked horrible cause i didnt want to draw them and i dindt care how they came out (haha my teacher loved them nevertheless)
a few tips may be:
-be patient! dont hurry, it may take a lot of time
-start with the main color and then add shading by just using a bit more color (if you know what i mean XD)
-use a lot of water and change it several times cause if you have too dirty water your colors may become dirty too
-if you have lines like me then its the best if you do everything which has the same color first⦠like you i did the skin first, then the yellow stripes, the hair... cause if you dont it may be, that you cant remember which colors you mixed up
-use watercolorpaper⦠i dont really know how its called but its especially made for watercolor

What is a fineliner, is it a pen like marker thing?

i dont know how to tell it in english⦠its called edding (dont know if you know that) and there are the fat ones and the really thin ones (0.1) and i used the thin one
