Look, stop arguing. Everything I have posted before is correct. This guy is a veteran costumer from a professional charity costuming group.
If you're trying to give yourself a kick from being a "better Vader" than someone else, then go get your jollies elsewhere. All you're doing is making yourself look like a pretentious prat.
The fiberglass IS fiberglass because, as you can see from the picture, I have seen it in person. I have seen the WHOLE costume in person. Many times.

It's a Droid Blaster (I think?) from Hasbro. It's just a plastic kids gun, though I did touch up the paintwork on it myself to make it look a little more authentic.
