You know, I didn't think I'd ever really do this one. This is Hel, ruler of Helheim and daughter of Loki the trickster god. The reason I never thought I'd do this one is because I really had no idea how I wanted Hel to look. I didn't really want to go with the half-dead/half-living straight down the middle look mostly becaust in my brain it just didn't quite look right, maybe I'm just that obsessed with things being symmetrical. Not to mention it's rather difficult to make one of these dolls look half-corpse so I basically just decided to ditch most preconceptions I had prior to playing around with her look so that I could explore my own ideas with what I had. Mostly I just worked with the concept of Helheim, a cold and dark place, and how Hel could best embody such a realm. Also, I wanted her to look stern and intimidating, yet dignified and queenly.
