It takes a certain type of patience, strength and courage to be able to speak no truth, no lies, no words. In the best of times, but also in the worst of times, silence is all it takes. We can sometimes find comfort, and also sorrow.

HAPPY EASTER! Hope you had an awesome weekend and long-weekend for some lucky few!
And from this long weekend and mid-semester break from university, I managed to find some time for myself to draw this piece. It's been sooo long since I last painted digitally, almost two months! So I'm feeling a little rusty, but hopefully I can keep it up again
PS - side question: I've been suggested here and there to start recording my drawing processes as speedpaint videos, and I was just wondering if anybody would be remotely interested in it if I were to start recording and putting them on my youtube channel?

IT was hell D: but i managed to get good grades on the french and English test.... another huge test I just did not fail on so that's good xD maths went OK but did not get the result back tho.......my tactics mostly r e giving up at like midnight, feel some self pity, and then revive kinda and get that learning boost xD

Its a way for artists to get a stipend from supporters. The artist then gives their supporters product(s) depending on the level of support.
This artist is doing really well and there are plenty others: www.patreon.com/sakimichan
Here are the steps:
1) Use Deviant art (or other social media) to get fans.
2) Direct fans to your patreon page.
3) Offer rewards (like video walk throughs, custom images, NSFW versions of art, etc...) to different levels of supporters.
4) Get $$

Sakimi didn't hit the ground with 20K a month. He/she started small and built it with fans. You could do the same thing. Re-read through the comments on all of your art. People like what you are doing and will probably pay for exclusive content. Doesn't hurt to try huh?

Ahhh right. But I don't really have a fanbase per-se, my work is still really experimental and kinda just new I guess! I really would love to try patreon eventually. I'm still learning the ropes just like anybody else, so it feels a bit weird to ask people to sponsor me on patreon with money for content. Rather, I'm still an amateur with no real experience or background sadly.

The worse that will happen is that someone will support you, decide that it isn't worth it, and then unsubscribe. It isn't like they are going to punch you in the face.
The best that can happen is you are making amazing money doing your art and living the dream.

When you put it that way.... I've got nothing to really say left haha. (In a good way!)
I guess what I meant when I said I didn't really have a fan-base, was just that I'm still a relatively new and learning the ropes, people don't really know who I am or what my work stands for etc. So there's not much consistency of people who like my work. Like for example, I'm a huge fan of Anna Dittman and I'll always love her work, so that if she one day made an art-book or something I'd be the first person to buy it!
I'll look at opening up a patreon alot more closely.
Because I honestly really do want to become a professional artist. Like you say, ideally, I want to marry my passion and work ideally with the ability to fund myself with it being a career.
