Me on Facebook !---
She's the titular character from Disney's "Pocahontas". I find the film so inspiring mainly because of the song "Colours of the Wind", the animation that plays within that song in the film is just full of gorgeous imagery and colours. Even the song itself is awesome, and Pocahontas is such a gorgeous and cool character to draw! I wanted to capture the whole vibrance, colourful and flowing, graceful aspect of the entire film, and this was the outcome!
I made this on Photoshop, drawing it over a span of about a month, on and off, hope you enjoy it!

The highlights and lighting are definitely in contrast with each other. Your picture would stand out more if there were more highlights from where your light source is located. The facial features you gave Pocahontas resembling an African American makes it quite interesting. It's not a bad thing.
The only flaw I see is her right arm. It is not proportional to her body. I think just adding a tad more flesh on those triceps would compliment the rest of her body.
Overall, you have definitely captured the essence of the song. I wish I could say more but I've ran out of room.

First off, I'm not a digital artist and as such i'm not going to even try to tell you how to do your works. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="

Firstly i love the colours at play and the subtle shadow work in this piece. I never really did watch the pochahontas movie by disney and dont know the character a whole lot but as a piece it is amazing.
The only thing i think that could be improved a little is maybe the facial expression she is displaying? It feels a little flat to me and with the movement of the leaves and hair he face feels a little flat.
Overall this is a stunning piece though!

This is gorgeous rendering of Pocahontas. It is not completely accurate, but that makes it more interesting. This is how this artist was inspired by her, his vision and what a vision! The composition is flawless, the colors are wonderfully warm, with the blue in the bottom corner being a respite for the eye. I am especially enchanted by the curvilinear shape of her hair being repeated in the leaves. The technique wonderful also, and the textures interesting and varied from the highlights on her shoulders and nose to the depth in her hair.
It’s something that stops you in your tracks and begs to be looked at more closely. All in all I think it has done what the artist meant to do … evoke a beautiful woman in a beautiful moment.

AMAZING
Could I request something? Could you do another from this song? But with enough space on a side of the picture for me to put a video on top of it...?

The song "Colours of the Wind" is probably one of my all-time favourite songs from Disney films,
and Pocahontas is definitely one of my favourite Disney princesses.
I can almost hear her sing the lyrics of the song in this amazing deviation.

I like your concept of Pacohontas and the link of your art with the song of the movie : together it's the symbol of the freedom of Pacohontas. Wonderful colours too.

Pocahontas is my favorite Disney gal.
This is beautiful. You've really done a great job with taking the colors from the movie and using them in your own piece. It is gorgeous!
