My trainer, for . Again, I am so amazed(and relieved) that I finished this on time.

I was going for an old whale/dolphin-ish thing with the Golduck's scars. was here while I was finishing up, and she got that right away. Which made me happy

Trainer Info:

- Name: Alyssa, though more commonly referred to as Lyssa or 'Alice.'
- Gender: Female
- Region of Origin: Jhoto
- Height: 5'2" 1/2
- Age: 19
- Brief History: (I like to retain the unknown factor, so this is an extremely brief history.)
Fengel(the Sneasel), her first pokemon, was bought from a poacher by her caretakers and given to her when she was nine. Lived in Jhoto, more specifically Goldenrod City, until twelve. Her caretakers up and moved her to Sinnoh at that point, where she only remained for a few months. Also met up with Kricketot, Xander, around this time. She missed Jhoto horribly, and upon saving up the money, she bought the cheapest ticket home she could find. Unfortunately, she neglected to notify her caretakers of this, but their grief isn't important. Life on the road was much more difficult than she had anticipated, and she roughed it for a while, the only thing really working in her favor the fact that she had always looked older than she was. Alyssa took up competitive battling as a way to channel Fengel's boundless energy in a less destructive way than he was used to, and in it found something that she really enjoyed. She has remained in Jhoto since, traversing the entire region, and worked her way up from the bottom of the ladder.

Alyssa always introduces herself as 'Alice' or 'Lyssa,' as she considers names with more than two syllables to be ostentatious. Alyssa is quirky and naive with a spectacular sense of whimsy. She's pretty oblivious to subtle implication, and gets a little bewildered when people refuse to be straightforward with her. She's hopelessly oblivious, in general. Competitive battling is her passion, especially the strategy aspect, though she doesn't really think of herself as a trainer. She was by no means a natural at it, but practiced, studied up, and has become quite skilled in her own right. Her pokemon and herself are a tight-knit family unit that takes on additions very rarely, as she doesn't show any interest in actively capturing them. Her solitary lifestyle, closeness with her pokemon, and a need to communicate more effectively in battle gave her a natural interest in the Pokemon language. Alyss had to teach herself Poke'speech the hard way, and can understand Fengel very well though she is not exactly fluent. Listening to other pokemon speak is like listening to the language through a thick accent. Sometimes she can understand them, sometimes she doesn't know what the heck is going on. She considers it in poor taste, as well as just plain rude, to refer to a specific pokemon by the name of its species. If she doesn't know a pokemon's name, 'Excuse me!' usually suffices, and failing that she'll refer to it as 'Sir,' or 'Ma'am.' She has made it very clear to her team that evolution isn't something to be forced or rushed, so it's common to see her traveling with a few underevolved teammates. This is not to be mistaken for inexperience. Alyssa is natually a live-in-the-now, slow-paced kind of person who is constantly being shoved into the fast lane by her life of travel. This gives her a perpetually dazed, frazzled kind of look that completely envelops her neutral state of being. She collects trinkets absentmindedly, keeping them in that pouch on the front of her hoodie. She tends to forget that she keeps things in there, so random stuff is constantly falling out. That black thing that you see by her legs is a sack that's attatched to her belt. It opens via a zipper that runs along the top edge. She doesn't always wear it on the same side, and makes full use of the fact that it can be attatched anywhere along her belt. Oh, and she always wears rain boots because she's discovered that being on the road and having wet socks is horrible.

Nickname: Vault

Ability: Volt Absorb
Moves: Thunder Fang, Double Kick, Pin Missile, Thunderbolt

Personality and Info: Vault... Isn't quite right in the head. He is spontaneous and unpredictable, and generally acts like an over-excited dog in a potentially destructive Jolteon body. He's good natured and doesn't mean any harm, but his affection usually means cuts and scrapes from his fur, which he sometimes raises unintentionally. His fur grew back slightly uneven, coarse and rough to an unusual degree. Little girls(Roughly ages 2-10 in appearance) bother him, and his responses to them can be anywhere in the fear/agression/irritation/slight perturbance/depression range. That is to say, negative. Again, he's quite unpredictable. He also has a drooling problem, as illustrated above. Vault's battle style is a bit agressive, as he's protective of his goup.

Kricketune
Nickname: Xander
Gender: Male
Ability: Swarm
Moves: X Scissor, Mud Slap, Bug Buzz, Aerial Ace
Nature: Jolly
Personality and Info: Xander is rather bubbly and sociable, constantly chattering and yammering just for the sake of conversation. Battling is all in sport to him, though he's rather competitive, and he tends to focus on his aerial manuverability over his physical strength. He really adds the touch of humor to the group and keeps everyone in good spirits.

Larvitar
Nickname: Bella
Gender: Female
Ability: Guts
Moves: Dark Pulse, Endure, Rock Slide, Thrash
Nature: Bold
Personality and Info: Bella is a strong-willed, straight-forward Larvitar, very much the what-you-see-is-what-you-get type. She's deeply a part of the group, which is evident in their casual interaction, but is quite rough around the edges and often needs her own space. Being the only female, as well as one of the smaller members of the team, she often feels the need to assert herself and prove her value in battle. In effect, she's very focused on a strong offensive approach that works well with her conditioned toughness and naturally high defense. She has a serious fear of evolution, as she thinks that being a Pupitar would vastly limit her abilities, and eats rocks very rarely to keep from evolving.

Golduck
Nickname: Flack
Gender: Male
Ability: Damp
Moves: Shadow Claw, Aqua Tail, Zen Headbutt, Hydro Pump
Nature: Brave
Personality and Info: Flack is quiet, stern and weathered. He loves to speak in metaphors and riddles, which Alice doesn't understand in the slightest. Most of the time she'll chalk this up, incorrectly, to her own translation errors. He had an initial soft spot for her, perhaps thanks to this cluelessness, that over time has grown into a solid bond. He views himself as something of their family group's guardian. Flack is a positively viscious battler with a penchant for physical moves. His water abilities seem to be a little underdeveloped, and he can only really produce enough of his own accord to perform aqua tail. Hydro pump is only usable via his psychic abilities when an external source of water is present.

Quilava
Nickname: Ravell
Gender: Male
Ability: Blaze
Moves: Flame Wheel, Dig, Smokescreen, Lava Plume
Nature: Mild
Personality and Info: Ravell is ridiculously laid back. He isn't prone to aggression or irritation in the slightest, and faces the day full of calm, subdued smiles and sunshine. He's the teammate nobody ever succeeds at picking a fight with, and always unintentionally ends up playing the mediator in disagreements. Ravell doesn't care much about battling in and of itself, but he understands how important it is to everyone, and fights valiantly for his team's success. His fire abilities are a force to be reckoned with, making him the go-to member when it comes to long range and special attack. As a little bit of a side note, he has a precise sleep schedule. There is almost nothing that can keep him from falling asleep at the same exact time every night. Also waking up at another exact time, every morning. Alice knows this by heart, and does everything possible to keep from interfering with it.

Sneasel
Nickname: Fengel
Gender: Male
Ability: Keen Eye
Moves: Crush Claw, Ice Beam, Agility, Faint Attack
Nature: Impish
Personality and Info: Born a bit of a runt, Fengel's a little smaller than your average Sneasel. Unfortunately he's also a little more energetic than your average Sneasel. Mix this with natural curiosity and a wild affinity for mischief. You end up with a lot of unintentional destruction. As mentioned before, battling is the constructive outlet for his boundless energy. More than anything he's wicked fast, both in movement and attack. Outside of battle he's pretty spunky and impudent, generally disrespectful. Though he honestly doesn't mean anything by it, it often pulls the whole team into any number of scrapes. Within the team he's well loved, and his behaviour is understood as simply the way he is. That isn't to say they get along all of the time. Not in the slightest.
