Thomas, an old slave centaur, informs the newest of the Dinmar (dark elf) appentaces that they are "doing it wrong" He's been a slave for most of his life. He's old. he's tired and he doesn't want the pain of having badly fitted tack. The boy has pushed the empty solo water sled too far forward. If they tied the harness on Thomas now, he'd skin his legs on the running boards. He's chained to the cave wall, so the kid's going to have to move that thing. It's not as easy to pull as it was to push he'll find out!

Thomas is the centaur that Adaire is partnered with the day Kainne is killed. Thomas was there for him when no one else was, adn it is thomas that gave him teh courage to run when all other courage gave out. If only there is a way to save Thomas too?
