Whoa, this little  water chevrotain is very paranoidal (see the title).

This drawing has a long story, for several years! And if not for this long period, the harmful deer would not become a character of my future comic. I've been drawing him for so long, I couldn't just let him go! However, the role given to him only as a pet, but he will appear on the first pages!

The story is, I wanted to make rubber stamps. I drew a stylized deer head. Then decided that I will make a series of stickers with such stylized animal muzzles. I drew a few. After the capybara I decided to check do my favorite little deers have a fangs? Looked on these excellent stripes on their faaaaaat sides (and on these slender legs oh), and decided to draw this creature separately. Thus was born the idea of harmful deer on my favorite water plants.

I just had to paint it three times, not knowing which side to approach the painting. I wanted to get markers or watercolors. In the end, I decided to work digital. Things didn't go well because I didn't have a clear idea of how I wanted to paint this, and I erased everything and started again several times. Cellshading was not the right thing for me, nor was semi-realism.

This summer I began to try new watercolor brushes, and decided that I can try! And I'll take a look, and MAYBE finally finish the poor animal. I've redrawn that three times, too. In general, I am happy with the result - as an experiment. I will not say that I will continue to draw LIKE this, I need to somehow make friends watercolor with lines.

Art was drawn in incomplete concentration, and during infinite views of series with my "sister". BUT! I recorded the process and put it on YouTube! And it was also an experiment, because everything was done on cintiq in the village, and the Premiere was too heavy for him, so I learned the new program Filmora9.
