Wow...just wow. I'm sure you didn't mean it this way, but with the vibrant colors and the intense, vaguely psychopathic, self-assured arrogance in his stare, the character reminds me of Dilandau from Escaflowne. I just get that sense that he could snap at any moment.

I would agree with what the giver of the DD said about what you've said about the picture. It is a touching and useful phrase; thanks for sharing it!
I did want to say that when i first saw the picture, I thought it was the boy's eyebrow that was the white line above his eye, and that made him seem like he was afraid and unsure but smiling anyway. But then i realized it's a headband or the like, and it suddenly gave it an air of strength and even perhaps the sinister. It changed the entire picture around. Really made me think for a bit. Hm. 9_9

Everything about this piece just screams -- what exactly? -- I have no idea. But it's so unique it's almost impossible not to fall in love with it. It's dynamic, it's colorful, the character just shines through all of the contrast with so much personality that I honestly have no idea what to say about him. The eye caught me as soon as I opened the page and the colors and shapes are keeping me stuck to it.

very stunning. i love the expression and the colors. also the shading/hiding of one eye really adds character to the piece. the colors are unique and not often seen, but they are rich and blend well together. i think the thing that most draws me to this is the eye and the expression. its hard to describe as to why - it is almost hypnotic, if that makes any sense. it truly is a great piece of art and the description you've given beneath it is so true and thought provoking. it adds a deeper meaning to an already sensual piece. i hope you were able to overcome that art block of yours with this piece.
