*laughs as she edits the title*Somehow I ended up rereading A Different Kind of Forest , and appalled by it's horrible cuteness, I ended up doodling. God, I wish chapter 3 would come out, I'm getting desperate...
Nah, guys, this fanfic is the shit. The fact I like it so much has nothing to do with penguins. Nope. yes it does.
Nirvana shirt because I totally didn't know if "a shirt with a band on it" meant "a shirt with the name of a band on it" or "a shirt with a belt on it", so Nirvana because of reasons. ssshhhh

eeEEEEH I can't, I'm still learning myself! X') But I shall give you tips, if you're really interested. This is just how I got there, but there are probably other ways. I'm self-taught, so I had to figure out my own way of doing it. I'm sharing it with you, but you'll probably find your own way of doing it with time.
The best way to learn how to draw is to draw, like, all the time, every day, every chance you've got. Buy a sketchbook (or five hundred if you're hardcore like me *dodges bullets*) and practice.
You can practice by copying other people's drawings on your sketchbook, not necessarily the entire drawing, it can be just hair, faces, hands, folds, expressions, whatever you like, and whatever you find interesting in said drawing.
Looking at other people's sketches (both traditional and digital) is super helpful, because they're less clean, and you can kind of see how the artist did this or this. Official character designs or model sheets are also super helpful. Glen Keane's sketches are pretty interesting to analyze, especially his work on Tangled (the link'll send you on a tumblr where you can find his work on various Disney movies).
Tutorials can also be really helpful if you're struggling with things, there are tons of them on DA, but you can find some pretty cool ones on Tumblr as well. This person reblogs tons of cool tutorials (although their blog also contains a bit of NSFW stuff).
The key thing is practice and determination. Sometimes, you won't feel motivated to draw, and you'll feel like you're going nowhere. Take a break, do something else, and when you're feeling a bit better, force yourself to draw, even if it's just a 2 or 3 minute sketch. Don't compare yourself to other people, because that's literally the worst thing to do. It'll only end up demoralizing you. Remember that before being what they are, every artist scribbled ugly looking stickmen-things with their crayons. Practice makes perfect.
Remember to have fun. Draw things you like, and draw them for yourself. Others don't matter, unless you're being payed. Draw whatever you like, fan art, original art, animals, humans, porn, kNOCK YOURSELF OUT.
Don't be afraid to share your stuff and ask for criticism (depending on how comfortable you are with your drawings. If you don't feel comfortable asking for criticism, don't.). You'll never know how well you're progressing, unless you show off your art.
