Description -Notable Features-
1- Ichijo-Kawashima household; Shiharu’s home. The nominal headquarters of the 11th-Division kids.
2- Tsuruji-Misashi household; Arashi, Kirin, Umi and Sora’s home. Often the scene of evening barbecues and bonfires during summer.
3- Okada household, overgrown by plants. The kids love to play among the undergrowth here.
4- The silt islands, used as forts during summer. The girls like to sunbathe here while the boys wrestle in the shallows.
5- The riverside park. Arashi broke her arm climbing the biggest tree when she was eleven.
6- The hillside park. Often the scene of battles between the 11th-Division kids and the 10th-Division kids.
7- The tadpole pond, a favourite haunt of Yachiru’s. The younger kids often end up here over summer.
8- The king pine. The tallest tree in the neighbourhood, and the kids sometimes take it into their heads to climb it. Whenever someone manages to climb right into the crown branches, they are accorded all the respect the kids usually save for the captains of their districts’ divisions.
9- Nakajima-Misashi household; Hisoka’s home.
10- Nishiwaki-Maeda household; Sotaro’s home.
11- Kitayama household; Kiko’s home. The kids tend to hang around here when Kiko’s mother is having one of her baking days.
12- Hatori-Musouka household; Setsuko’s home. The kids tend to avoid Setsuko’s mother because she looks creepy.
13- The king sycamore.
14- The bird lady’s house. A shinigami’s widow, she keeps lots of songbirds.
15- The abandoned house, a good place for an adventure.
16- The rope bridge the elder Shunryoudou brothers made. The kids cross the river this way during autumn and spring- during summer it’s often cooler to just wade across the ford, and during winter ice on the ropes makes it too difficult to hang onto them.
17- Watase household; Aki, Satsuki and Chisame’s home.
18- Shunryoudo household; Isao’s home.
19- Kikuoka household; Youko’s home.
20- Shirobashi household; Mako’s home. Wonderful smells come from here at times- Mako’s mother is fond of human-world recipes.
21- Sameshima household; Keisuke and Katsurou’s home.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It’s all very well and good having barracks for unattached shinigami, but where do the shinigami with families live? It’d be too much of a bother to have them all living way out in Rukongai, so here go the suburbs of Seireitei, where shinigami settle down to raise their families.

This is… half of the suburb attached to 11th Division, I think. You can see a wee bit of the 10th Division suburb there at the left side of the page, where Sotaro Maeda and Hisoka Misashi live. All the 11th-Division shinigami with families live in those houses east of Sokyoku Hill Road.

I have this idea that all the kids of a certain age- between 7 and 14 (physically at least), probably- kinda run wild during the day, roaming all over the district and entertaining themselves. The kids whose parents are from 11th hate the kids whose parents are from 10th, so they invade the 10th-Division district every so often and have wars with the kids that live there. 10th’s kids then invade 11th’s district, and trigger a war in retaliation. And then, every so often 9th’s kids invade 10th or 11th, and the 10th and 11th-Division kids both hate 9th’s kids even more, so they team up to give the invaders a good thrashing. 12th’s kids are weird, and have strange weapons, so nobody invades 12th’s district. 13th is fair game, but 13th’s kids have an alliance with 8th’s kids, and 8th’s kids also include most of the Misashi kids, so 8th’s kids tend to win most of their wars. Nobody likes 6th’s kids, but 6th’s kids tend to have overprotective parents, so most of the time nobody will attack them.

Kids can be brutal sometimes…

Anyway, of 11th’s kids, currently the leader is Shiharu Ichijo, who is the oldest and the strongest of the local kids. Shiharu’s lieutenants are the Sameshima brothers, Katsurou and Keisuke, and Isao Shunryoudo. Akimitsu Hitsugaya-Etsuchi is the fourth lieutenant, but he has rather more brains than the other three and tends to hang back out of the limelight. There is also Satsuki Fujiyama, a little savage who has just graduated from the ranks of the little kids and been allowed to join the bigger kids. There are more boys in the neighbourhood, but they all tend to follow these guys like sheep.

The leader of the girls is Arashi Tsuruji-Misashi, because none of the girls dare cross her. Arashi’s second-in-command is Youko Kikuoka, who is smarter than Arashi, also smart enough not to let her find out, and her little band of girls includes Mako Shirobashi, Setsuko Hatori, Kiko Kitayama and Aki Watase. Arashi’s younger sister Kirin, and Aki’s adoptive sister Chisame have just joined the group now they’re not little kids anymore.

Oh! Kagome, where does Yoko and Shiiru’s little family live? And Diyaru, where does the Akuma family live? I keep on forgetting to ask if they’re nobles or not…

Bleach in general belong to Tite Kubo, I just enjoy messing with it.

.... now THAT'S something I call a well-thought-out map. All the sudden input makes my head throb a little.
I especially like the fights between the kids of each division- kinda makes me wonder which team would the Hoshigeru kids belong to- I have a feeling they'd follow Tsu wherever heee may gooo~ (gospel reference anyone? )
I hope these little battles won't continue when they achieve Shikai. ._. Then it will get REALLY brutal.
About the gender-based separation... that means friendships between boys and girls are pretty much forbidden? You thinking what I'm thinking? :3

And now I'm gonna scroll back and study the map a little. Just so I know what's where.

Kemmasandi In reply to Weresquirrel94 [2010-12-04 20:39:44 +0000 UTC]

Want an icepack? I just about needed one in order to finish it...

Well, hm... it depends which district the Hoshigeru kids live in! If 11th, then 11th, if 10th, then 10th. ^^ Yeah, once they grow up and go to the shinigami academy, they don't really fight anymore, though the rivalry might remain... It's just the kids that don't have the restraint to stop the battles.

Well, it's less that they're forbidden than they're kinda at the stage where little girls think boys are groos and little boys think girls have cooties... most of them are, anyway. So they work together when they've got something they want to do, but they stay divided most of the time. ^^

Okay! btw, where do Tsu and Kohaku and Toki live?

Eh, just keep it. I'll just shove my head into the freezer. Along these days I developed a deep friendship with it.

So far I only know that Shigs didn't even hesitate to move in to the 10th when she got pregnant... but it's possible that they'd move to the 11th suburbs after the kids are born. I kinda feel them closer to that division, though their Zanpakuto aren't (or isn't~ ) really suited to the 11th's profile... depends on Jeff, personally I'm all for the 11th. I'm gonna ask him later.

I just meant that it'd be absolutely adorable if they had to hide from the others whenever they wanted to play together. You know, while they're at the "what will the others think?" stage.

Here, of course. C'mooon, could you imagine an 11th divisioner moving in to the !th's barracks? It would be like a tiger in a duckpond!

You and that freezer must have quite a relationship~

Hm... Well, lemme know when you find out. ^^ Maybe I should draw a map of 10th's district as well~

Yeah, that'd be so cute~ I think it could still work though. The other boys would probably tease Tsu mercilessly otherwise~

True~ Wanna pick a property for them?

Oh, the frozen chicken in there are especially great company.

Aaa, forgot to ask today. I should really write myself a couple sticky notes and put 'em on my forehead...

I can practically see them hiding somewhere in the bushes~ And Arashi flashing a few of her contagious smiles~

Hmm, what about the one northeast from number 3 and 2? Surrounded by the Kitayamas, Tsuruji-Misashis, and Okadas... Just to keep the "boy next door" feeling?

Kemmasandi In reply to Weresquirrel94 [2010-12-06 01:53:42 +0000 UTC]

Really? I wouldn't have ever guessed. ^^

Yeah, you should~ Sticky notes are great fashion accessories, yanno?

Aww, yeah... so cute... Tsu would have a lot of fun~

You know, that's exactly the one I'd hoped you'd pick. The big tree in the yard is where one end of the rope bridge is tied to, so there are kids coming and going through that yard all the time. ^^ It's a big tree, one of those ones with lots of thick branches near the bottom- good to climb in.

You should just try talking to one for a while. They're willing to listen.

And now that they're sold in a lotta different colors and shapes! I gotta try how well that kinda glue sticks to skin.

See? Telepathy I tell you!
That's actually a good reason for the boys to get to know Tsu.
... I suddenly saw a couple kids sitting on the branches of a huge tree. Moment, I gotta go have a nice little chat with the frozen chicken. >w>

Man, that is one cool and complicated map! I love all the markers...seems like Arashi loved to climb a bit huh? For some reason the bird lady house strikes my fancy. I also liked the description of the trees and the tadpole pond. The children sure have it lucky.

As for the fights...where do Squad 4 kids fit in? I assume 11 would pick on them. Sweet map btw! <3

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kemmasandi In reply to AyameSho [2010-12-03 21:12:50 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, Arashi LOVED to climb- she still does, actually. No fear of heights for that girl~ The bird lady's house was Kirin's favourite place- the bird lady loved to see the kids so interested in her hobby, 'cause it could get a bit lonely sometimes even with her birdies around...

The kids do have it lucky.

Yes, the 11th-Division kids do tend to pick on 4th's kids, but they run screaming when 4th's kids bring out their parents... Would the Hara kids have been 4th-Division kids?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AyameSho In reply to Kemmasandi [2010-12-14 00:23:08 +0000 UTC]

Arashi sounds a little like my sis. She loves to climb, but afraid to come down like a cat...

The bird lady sounds neat, someone I think even Leiko may visit when she is bored.

I figured the 11th would pick on them. Yep, the Haras would be in the 4th division, much to Leiko's protesting...but since Takumi got the promotion and not her...

Though they aren't the typical run-of-the-mill 4th divisioner children, Soichiro would be off reading, Hideaki would be causing havoc and proably get along with some of the 11th kids and Aya would be off in her own...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kemmasandi In reply to AyameSho [2010-12-15 21:11:21 +0000 UTC]

Arashi's not necessarily afraid to come down... she's just afraid of coming down too fast. That was how she broke her arm- it got hooked in a branch and her bones snapped clean through just below the elbow.

The bird lady is pretty neat. She's very knowledgeable, and she bakes good cookies too.

Where did Leiko come from, btw? I'm wondering if she might have been a former 11th-Division kid...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AyameSho In reply to Kemmasandi [2010-12-19 00:38:06 +0000 UTC]

Well, sounds like Arashi has common sense, coming down too fast isn't plesant...as it seems like she knows. Ouch!

Good cookies! Well she would have to meet Ayame then!

Leiko was an orphan and wandered around for awhile before settling in the 11th Division. She was short but one tough kid. I'm sure she may have ran a gang of her own...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kemmasandi In reply to AyameSho [2010-12-19 01:12:11 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, Arashi is a pretty commonsensical person. ^^ Most of the time...

Yup, the cookies are brilliant. She used to run a cookie stall when her husband was alive, but now she just stays at home and bakes for the kids that come around to see the birdies.

I see. Yeah, Leiko would've been a tough kid. She was probably the leader of the 11th-Division kids back then~ I can't imagine kid!Leiko ever taking orders...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AyameSho In reply to Kemmasandi [2010-12-19 01:39:28 +0000 UTC]

Is her sister the same or more spontaneous?

Aww..the bird lady sounds really sweet. Does she have a name? I really like her character now!

Oh yea, Leiko is one tough gal and she as a kid wouldn't take orders at all. She was a small gal, with a big mouth and fist to back her up.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kemmasandi In reply to AyameSho [2010-12-19 01:51:37 +0000 UTC]

Well, of the now four Tsuruji-Misashi kids, sister number one, Arashi, is commonsensical. Sister two, Kirin, is cunning. Sister Three, Umi, is spontaneous and insistent, and Sister/Brother Sora is shy and nervous. ^^

Well... I'd hoped I was over making Bleach OCs, but the bird lady is kinda developing herself into my 302nd... Her name is Chifumi Yukishiro. She's childless and a widow, alone for the first time in her life (she grew up in a big family and married into an even bigger family), which is kind of sad...

I thought so. She would've ruled the 11th-Division kids with an iron fist~

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AyameSho In reply to Kemmasandi [2010-12-19 02:17:33 +0000 UTC]

I'm thinking I like Arashi and Sora the best...though I do like them all!

I guess you still have the Bleach bug...but you have to admit she is such an interesting character. Awwww....so sad, so I assume she like the wild children of Squad 11 and her birds like her own then huh?

She sure did!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kemmasandi In reply to AyameSho [2010-12-19 02:23:15 +0000 UTC]

Arashi and Sora are my favourites too... they've kinda gotten the most development so far.

I've got the bug for my OCs, I guess. I'm gonna try and draw some more over Christmas, so I can introduce you to them once I come back~ Yeah, she basically treats everyone that comes through the doors of her house like her children. You tend to leave with a full stomach.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AyameSho In reply to Kemmasandi [2010-12-19 02:36:56 +0000 UTC]

Hee, I have a tendency to do that to my fave character too...

Oooh, sounds neat! I can't wait!

You make me wanna draw her now...is she older or younger? I'm thinking of drawer her with her giving cookies to a little Leiko.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kemmasandi In reply to AyameSho [2010-12-19 02:44:38 +0000 UTC]

Yeah~ it's very easy to develp the ones you like.

Well, I come back on the 27th, so about then is when they should be up~

She's oldish... appears about mid-forties or fifties. Very long hair, braided. It used to be bronze, but it's gone completely grey now, so it gradually fades from bronze to steel-grey at the roots. And that's all I know for sure about her, so the rest you can make up. ^^

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AyameSho In reply to Kemmasandi [2010-12-19 02:55:18 +0000 UTC]

Yea, it is the ones that aren't like you and you tried to make them opposite that are hard. Least with e anyways.

on the 27th huh? I will look for to see what you have drawn!

She sounds pretty, particulary her hair! I will get to sketching her.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kemmasandi In reply to AyameSho [2010-12-19 03:01:25 +0000 UTC]

Hm... for me, the ones that are hard are the ones that aren't very interesting... I have no trouble making a character who's opposite to my own way of thinking, because that can be interesting sometimes... it's the ones that just don't seem to have much of a purpose, the ones that think little thoughts and are kinda complacent... those ones I find difficult.

I'll endeavour not to let you down!

Just relised I'm gonna have to take a crapload of paper with me...

Well, if you wanna make her pretty, you're free to do so! I just know she's a very motherly figure.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AyameSho In reply to Kemmasandi [2010-12-19 03:20:05 +0000 UTC]

Ah, so the more ordinary they are, the harder it is for you, that is a problem. I tend to make my characters like that, but then they grow into something more...well worth while? Even when I create evil characters, I can't make them plain evil, I have to have something in them that would make me like them a little bit. (Minus one that just wants to destroy the universe, because it is hungry)

I would send ya some if I could! You could never let me down, you always seem to inspire and amaze me with your creative abilities!

Motherly huh? Gotcha! I think I'm going to sketch her now!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kemmasandi In reply to AyameSho [2010-12-19 03:31:23 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, pretty much. When I create a chara, they usually start out with some sort of 'normal' framework, but after a wwhile most of them grow into something out of the ordinary, whether it's plainly visible, as in Makoto's or Ren's cases, or not really that visible, as in Sierra's case. The ones that don't... I tend to forget about, and use them as supporting characters when I remember.

Yeah, I can't make a character just evil, any more than I can make a character just good. They've always gotta have the reasoning and depth behind their personas... Personally I think there is no such thing as good and evil anyway, just different points of view...

Aww, thankies~ I'm all inspired now!

Diyaru4500 [2010-12-01 12:09:42 +0000 UTC]

Akuma just class as nobles and only a few in number but here on this map...I'd say their estate would be the bottom left corner on the crossroad of Songyoku HIll and Western Gate Road where those 6 propoties are .... or on the bottom right of the crossroads......

Kemmasandi In reply to Diyaru4500 [2010-12-01 22:39:23 +0000 UTC]

Hehe, so near the Ohno estate, then? Then Taiyou would have definitely grown up as one of the 11th-Division kids.

They are nobles.

Tenshi Estate would probably be near Squad 3 or 6. I gonna wait for Diyaru to answer for his before I choose.

But I do see a house that may be considered Yoko's old home(which she would still use if work was busy).
While going south down Soukyoku hill Rd., it would be that little triangle property on the left right after the bridge.
Reasons:
-right between the 2 squads she'd ever be in.
-near the river
-near a major road that would lead to Squad 3 where she'd go say Hi to Shiiru.

YUS!! They'd be in the same house.
For Amane, the fight would be a definite. Tatsuo would go just to see Taiyou.

I saw Diyaru's comment.
My Tenshi's will be near Squad 3!

There will be one other house near Squad 6 where Tatsuo and Taiyou will eventually go to live.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kemmasandi In reply to ValkyrieKago [2010-12-01 22:40:40 +0000 UTC]

Then Tatsuo and Amane would have been part of the 11th-Division kids for a few years at least... Amane would have loved that. But they went to Sixth after? Ironic~

I meant after Tatsuo & Taiyou got married, they would live around the 6th.

But you are right: Amane, Tatsuo, & Taiyou all went to Squad 6 as unseated officers first. Then they worked their way up to Lieutenants.
