reminded me of this Remember Me, in the game world they have these female robots that you can find everywhere in the game, and while you're moving around you'll find a similar theme like this where some people throw out their broken robot's in the trash or in front of their houses.

years ago i saw on a TV program ( about a related story ) a footage where someone was recording a video on a desert area for study and he accidently saw two guys from a distance on a pickup truck stop their truck and an old woman came out of the truck and then they drive off leaving her in the middle of nowhere, when he and his friend talked to the old woman, she said she's their grandmother and they tells her that they'll come back to her soon... after that the video end but they said thankfully they returned the old woman to her family later. if it wasn't for that person and his camera man on the scene only god will know what will happen to that old woman.
