Personality/Traits: Goofy, outgoing, mischievous, fun-loving, flirty, and extremely optimistic.

  Hopeful idiot that loves to have fun and goof off. He has a bad habit of dodging problems with jokes and really doesn’t handle stress well when it comes to himself and dealing with his own shit. Even while on a mission he tries to keep an upbeat attitude, but will get serious when he needs to be. Despite that, he adapts easily and is able to learn fast on a job. Alex rarely gets very angry, but when he does, boy does he. He doesn’t handle strong emotions well, such as being extremely happy, upset, or pissed.
    He’s very hyper and fun loving, and really shows his emotions. It seems like his heart is on his sleeves.
  Alex is trained in hand-to-hand combat, handling guns, and has knowledge on survival. He is very skilled with airships because of his father. Learns by seeing a demonstration then doing it himself. He also isn’t very rational or ‘smart’. Let’s just say math wasn’t his strongest attribute in school. He is extremely snarky and blunt, easily getting himself into more trouble with enemies. Alex doesn’t think before rushing into things, and his impulses have gotten him into trouble before.


Physical Traits and stuff:

- Alex is lean and has long legs built to run fast. He’s pretty speedy
- Alex has short, fluffed up hair. The front sticks out. He’s proud of it.
- Alex almost always wears his jacket, and he loves brown jackets.
- Alex has Cardinal wings that have bright orange feathers on the underside. He got it from his mother, who he has never met.
- Alex is an orphan/bastard adopted by Todd Shandon. He takes his last name after him.
- Alex has no magic abilities. People in Aireden call those without magic ‘Krugs’ or ‘Kruggers’

Backstory:
  Alex was an orphan abandoned by his father, Allen, who was close friends with Todd Shandon. Todd ended up having to adopt the abandoned baby and raised him as his own son. Todd never found out from Allen who Alex's real mom was before he disappeared. Todd lived in a airship and quickly became attached to Alex, and both of them traveled Aireden in the airship. Alex's childhood
  consisted of going to many different villages and meeting all kinds of people, while being raised by his adopted father. He learned a lot from his dad and bonded with him a lot over this time period, both getting very close. Todd taught Alex about animals, how to fish (illegally), how to hunt, swim (most people don't know how to), and tons of info about airships and how to fly them as Todd was very passionate about them and took part in a lot of illegal airship races. Todd even homeschooled Alex while he couldn't go to school with other kids that much, and when he did, he flunked hard because the teaching methods didn't cater to him. Todd had hoped Alex was a late bloomer with his magic, since Alex's most basic magic was absent. Alex never really had friends, though, with all the traveling and most villages ended up rejecting or bullying him for being a Krug and outsider.
  One event of bullying that stuck with Alex for a long time was when Todd dropped him off at a kind and friendly family's house to babysit him while Todd was busy and away, only to be lead by the family's sons and other neighbor kids to the edge of the island and pressured to try and fly. Alex, too young to have wings that could fly, fell and got stuck on a ledge on the side of the island, nearly falling to his death. He was then mocked and harassed by the other kids, being called names and made fun of, before being left there by himself. Alex yelled in panic and cried, but it'd be hours before Todd found him and saved him.

  As a kid, Alex was fascinated by storms and always wanted to see a big one. He'd always get disappointed when Todd would have them rush off an island that was going to be hit by a large storm, or fled from the dark clouds, not understanding the real danger. At one point of time while visiting a village, the island got hit by a level 8 storm and everyone had to hide in storm bunkers. Alex was excited, but Todd was full of dread. Soon his excitement died down as he began to soak in in all the panic. There wasn't enough room for both Todd and Alex in the bunker, and Todd couldn't convince the locals to make room for Alex. They both took shelter as quickly as they could in an abandoned house and hid in one of the rooms as the storm literally tore apart the outside of the building. Alex was terrified and hid in his dad's arms, unable to sleep almost the entire night. After that experience, Alex gained an intense fear of storms.

  When Alex became a teenager, Todd figured it was time to settle down and they moved to the main capital of Royen. Todd got a place to stay within the city and Alex joined the school there, eventually deciding to join Royen's Military. They lived a simpler life without traveling all over the place and running into danger. His dad encouraged him to join the military and so, Alex went off to their equivalent to boot camp and was gone for months in training. After Alex's 'graduation', he returned home to live with Todd again as he began his job as a guard in the King's castle.

Summary: Alex is an orphan adopted by Todd Shandon. Todd raised him on his airship as they traveled across Aireden, where Alex gained a lot of experience. Alex has no magic and struggles in school, but manages to graduate and enter the Royen military, hoping to help people.

Additional Facts:
- Alex is surprisingly very skilled and experienced with airships. He might not be able to explain something on an airship to you, but he can repair, drive, and be quick to figure out what to do with one. He picked up this skill from Todd and while living on an airship during his early life.

- Like mentioned before, Alex has an intense fear of storms. Thunder and lightning can make him shake and curl on himself. He needs to be indoors and away from any storm bigger than a drizzle. Really bad storms will make him try to hide under blankets or seek protection from someone else. Alex really doesn’t like bad storms, and they could make him freeze up and go into a state of panic.
- Alex has experience with most of Aireden and it’s people and animals. He’s met many different people and loves nature. Most animals love him. He tends to be overly confident, but friendly, to wildlife.

- Alex has no magic abilities like most people in Aireden do, and people like him are called ‘Krugs’ or ‘Kruggers’, which has become a derogatory term. Also, because Alex has no magic, he’s never needed a Hex. Hexes are taxes on people’s magic. (Hexes, or a Hex tax is very similar to a blood draw. But instead of blood, they take out the essence of magic within the person. Everyone must participate in these and they happen annually twice a year. The purpose of the Hex tax is to even out the level of magic and keep wrong doers from having too much power)

- Alex has a little plushie toy companion that used to be his favorite toy (And imaginary friend) named Blue. Blue was a little stitched up, blue animal plushie. Kid Alex wouldn’t go anywhere without Blue and it was his comfort object. His best friend. Alex still holds onto Blue, but not as strongly as he used to.

- Alex wants to help people more than anything. Despite being bullied and outcasted (He did have friends tho) throughout his life, he wants to be there for others. He joined the military believing he could protect and save people.

- Alex is goofy and aloof. He acts on impulse, blurts stuff out without thinking, and can come on a little strong. He’s usually very friendly and tries to be social, but he’s not very good at being social. Alex is out going, but he doesn’t understand social cues and when it’s become too much. This, can make him come across as an asshole or ‘class clown’ stereotype, but he honestly doesn’t mean to come across that way. His intentions are usually pure. Unless, you’re someone he doesn’t like, then he can be the most mischievous little shit. (Sorry not Sorry William and Ben)

- Alex’s favorite color is green, obviously. His favorite food is boar chops.
