Notes:
Mixed media category, as the wings are painted and not a photo (everyone noticed that, right? )

Tech data:
About 16 hours.
Photoshop CS5 only.

Process:
First of all, finding the models' stock.
Clean it, removing the background and picture noise. Don't use the eraser! Paint with black on a mask. You can "undo" painting with white on the mask
Each picture is saved in a single file, separately. Each image is contained in a layer group, along with a levels adjustment layer to normalize values. The mask is moved to the whole layer group.
Then, the background stock is found. Same process as above.
Elements are placed (inserted as smart objects) and arranged in the frame. This lets me change the original file and every other picture that "includes" it reflects the change.
Adjust several pictures' levels, colors, etc. By changing the original and saving, the final image is updated.
Paint the wings on a smart object.
Save the image and "place" it into another image for the postproduction stage.
Add a vignette, adjust overall toning (photo filter), add chromatic aberration (lens correction) and a bit of noise, to add some realism to the picture. Lacking these makes the picture look somewhat "fake".
