Description At long last, I have something to show to the world! Before I go on with the description, allow me to do the disclaimers:

I do not own Guitar Hero, nor any Yu-Gi-Oh references. But I do own all my original characters, including this one.

This is the lead guitarist, co-founder and co-leader of Shining Nova, Stephen Thompson--Otherwise known as Slifer Inferno! Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Slifer moved alone to San Francisco to attend a better high school. Namely Golden Gate High. At the beginning of my story, he takes up residence in an apartment occupied by four other teenagers, with whom he made friends: Emily Sarcosky (Emeraude Saber), Oscar Fitzpatrick (Obelisk Prime), Nathaniel Xavier (Nautilus Tide), and Coral Montgomery (Coral Mist). Upon discovering their love and talent for music (and rock in particular), Slifer gets inspired to form a band, with Nautilus' help. Together with his friends and bandmates, he helps the band rise up to the challenge in the Worldwide Battle of the Bands tournament.

Slifer is a rebellious young man, but he is a rebel with a noble cause. Usually he holds a casual carefree attitude, but sometimes he can be a bit as hotheaded as the element he represents. Ultamitely though, he cares deeply about his friends and would do whatever it takes to defend them.

Like the other members of Shining Nova, Slifer grew up with a deep love of music; his mother was a punk rocker, while his father Daniel Thompson was the tour manager of several famous rock bands. In fact, Slifer's father becomes the tour manager for Shining Nova in my story, and provides the band with wise counsel. Also, like most members of his band, Slifer happens to be a musical prodigy. He has played the piano like a pro since he was three, but it wasn't until he was ten years old that he started practicing on a guitar. His trademark electric guitar, Red Lightning, was an early birthday gift he recieved from his father at the beginning of the story.  *edit* It was also known that Slifer has a reputation of being the world's worst roadie, which made for a running gag in the previous band he worked for, much to the chagrin of said band.

As you can obviously see, when it comes to magic, fire is Slifer's element. It comes in handy whether he's taking part in a rock duel or battling against the forces of evil. Also, he actually seems to have some kind of immunity to fire, though even he has no idea how or why. Not surprisingly, curry is his favorite food-- the spicier, the better.

As the story progresses, Slifer gains extraodinary powers that seem to hint that he is not as human as he thinks. And it all ties to a surprising secret kept by his father...

This is one of the favorites among my drawings, due to the pose and the attitude I seem to convey. I've done my very best to add depth and dimension to Slifer's body, and I studied Slifer's game version to incorporate every detail, and even made modifications to fit my vision. Overall I think the perspective is very good. Not bad for someone who hasn't done any art in five years, I'd say! With the arrival of Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock, this information above will be going through a bit of some changes, along with the story itself.  I sure hope you like it either way!

Thank you so much! I'm so happy you like him! I've worked so hard to put him together, and the same appiles to his friends and bandmates.
