What if you put like a hair piece in there or something visually similar as opposed to just longer hair? That might be something to think about as a sort of compromise, I guess?

Yeah, me too. Long hair fits with the character visually, but short hair fits personality-wise.

i only leave them out if the user is particularly spammy with it (i know some artists like to upload every single separate layer of all their stuff for posterity and such, and those i don't usually keep track of
