Xion is having a challenge and gallery show featuring Avatar: The Last Airbender, one of the greatest stories ever told, in the anticipation for the movie's release. I have decided to draw the main featured characters and tell my favorite and most memorable moments from the show with each peice so enjoy.

My favorite character was Sokka. In my list of favorite characters from any media or franchise be it book, movie, or show, I usually am drawn to some of the female characters. But Sokka is one of the few male characters I instantly bonded with. I think it is because we share that murphey's law thing. You know, anything that can go wrong will go wrong. That seemed to happen to poor Sokka alot.

I fell in LOVE with the sword he got while undercover in the fire nation. It was made of meteor rock and was black. No one on EARTH can say that have that sword. It was SEXY. Ant then HE WENT AND LOST IT!! OMG I WAS SO PISSED!!! hahahahaha.

But I was rooting for him and Suki to be together and felt bad for him when his last girlfriend had to become the moon spirit.
One of the most memorable lines I keep saying from him is "Boomerang!! You DO always come back!!!"
I got ready to smack him, lol.
Katara was a cool character too. The thing about this show that I am not sure anyone noticed was that all the female characters were strong and indipendant. Katara prooved many times that she could hold her own especially in that last fight against Azula (hate her...). She made me mad though on a few occasions when she wanted that damn waterbending scroll and when she tried to hard to be everyone's mother and started pissing Toph off.
I secretly wanted her to be with Zukko because they were more closer in age than her and Aang. That made me feel a little put off, but hey, I am entitled to have my own sentiments, lol.
