The nature of the character being aware of their impending transformation into the other gender, but not being aware of their specific role. It's something I've only seen so often, the nature of characters being aware of an impending transformation, without actively causing the catalyst, is very rare, and, believe me. I've seen quite a bit. It's good to tone down the surprise aspects, more for a " twisted words aspect." Regardless, the fisher kingdom aspect is always present in the Time-Machine pieces, and I quite enjoy the twisted tricks the zealous Time Machine seems to like to play on Lance.
