While the dogs job is to keep the cattle grouped, it's the men and horses that guide the group to the cattle handling facility. I've found that a ladder helps with compositions in flat landscapes. Of course now you could do this with a drone. But it might spook the horses and the cowboys would blast it out of the sky.
