Most waterfall guides rate the trail to get there, usually 1-10. Sometimes I think their rating is based on false assumptions, like the hiker was born in the mountains, is <30 years old, and jogs 5 miles every day. None of that applies to me, so even a rating of 5 can be challenging. The trail to this falls is rated a 7. It’s not really long or steep, but I question the use of the word “trail”. Anyway, getting lost and wet is S.O.P (standard operating procedure) for us, but eventually we make it to our destination (most of the time). One good thing about finding waterfalls is that even though typically you can’t see them until you get to the end of the trail, you can hear them. I really like the anticipation of knowing there’s something ahead, but not knowing what you’ll find. It’s especially rewarding when you pop out of the vegetation tunnel to behold a beauty like this waterfall.
