Description Approx 9 x 11 Graphite and Charcoal on Arches HP WC Natural White. Approximately 40 hrs (but I really didn't keep track).
I wish the hair were better, but that was my challenge to myself on this one and it is better than my last attempt.
Overall I'm pleased with it. (or you'd never see it ).

I applaud your choice of subjects. One tends to go through galleries stuffed with drawings of nothing but celebrities and beautiful people; it's refreshing to see portraits of older, less "popular" people, such as this old man here, who, with their time-creased skin and liver spots, have a certain charm of their own.

I'm amazed. Having seen a similar picture of old hands first, I desided to full view this picture that looked like it was a photograph. Only then could I see the finer details that distinguished it as a charcoal drawing. This is absolutely wonderful!
