Description
Smash Bros 4 is one of 2014s biggest games. New challengers approach from all sides and one poor wallpaper has to go through many changes. "Watch" me to always stay up to date with the latest version.UPDATE 3.1: Added shading to the corners, changes to the logo (colour and shadow).
UPDATE 3.5: Woah, massive update! So big it jumped four decimals. Added shading to the colours and logo, horisontal lines to seperate blocks, moved some characters about, renamed deviation, new challenger: Shulk. I'm really feeling it now, things are coming together.
UPDATE 3.51: Fixed scale of right corner
UPDATE 3.6: Added returning veterans Dr Mario, Wario, Ness, Falco and newcomer Dark Pit. Made background in corners black and white.
UPDATE 4.0: Massive update now, after far too long. Complete re-haul of grid from scratch; from 15x3 to 14x4 layout. Added unlockable characters Duck Hunt Duo, Ganondorf, Jigglypuff, Mr Game & Watch and R.O.B. Added DLC characters Mewtwo, Lucas, Roy, Ryu. Modified shading for new, sleeker look. Added texture to corners. Moved Miis and logo to corners.
UPDATE 4.1: Perhaps the final update now, unless I make some tweaks. A part of me wants to move Corrin next to the other FE characters, but it would be a pain to do. I guess it's no longer truly a Work in Progress, so I removed that from the title. Anyway, I've now added final DLC newcomers Corrin, Cloud Strife and Bayonetta. This heralds the end of the grey corners and uses the latest full grid. I've also manipulated a shading layer, but you can't tell because the corners used to cover up some rough spots. If you've actually bothered to read all this, I wish you a happy new year!
Make sure to check out the fully coloured version as well. kennyi.deviantart.com/art/Full… .

I can see myself wanting to change the size on some of these folks, so expect Update 4.2 in the new year!

Although we now know the full roster (at least prior to the almighty Wii U version and the certain-to-come DLC) thanks to the Japanese launch, I'm not adding more characters until Nintendo release high resolution renders of the remaining characters. Hopefully they'll be out around the western launch. Please understand.

New renders have been released on the main site, so I've added them in update 3.6.
I know the rest can be found online, but I need to work out how to fit everyone first, as the roster turned out bigger than my grid.
And yes, I know the ones I've added aren't sorted by franchise like the rest, but that'll be sorted when I move everything to an expanded layout.
Also, King Dedede and the Miis seems to mistakenly share the same colour, but don't tell anyone... (seriously, way too much blue going on!)

4.0 is finally out. The first version to contain the entire vanilla roster and all the (current) DLC. I've been dreading going back to this, knowing the amount of work that had to be re-done, but it feels good to have finally done it. Now I can still fit up to four additional DLC characters with little effort (I'm willing to remove the Miis) so it should be the most future-proof setup I've had. I apologise for taking so long, please understand.
