Description
This animation is about facing your barriers. In what ever you want to achieve. All the things that may hold you back. You have to know your limits or weaknesses, turn around and confront them. In my case it was laziness, lack of motivation and so I represented this as rust, (you get rusty when you don't use your talents). So I tried to confront it by animating more. This animation helped me break this rust literally too. So whatever it is ; disbelief, lack of confidence, others telling you you cant do it, challenges. If your truly determined you can reach your potential by just confronting these things. Everyones capable of achieving so much in life, but they never think they can. Make use of your talents, your light, your true potential and be determined whatever it may be, all it takes is the determination to sacrifice and give all you have until you reach your goal.
As you improve and get stronger, so will the challenges in front of you get bigger, stronger, but overcoming these bigger challenges is what brings true joy.It is when we grow.
Even if you don't reach your goal exactly. You'll live a life without regrets. I hope you can see this. This was inspired by a famous Poem.
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other
people won't feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of
God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others."

So here's a little something interesting.Β
The very first time I watched this, I was really impressed by it, and at the end I liked the quote you used by Sun Myung Moon, so I decided to look him up.
...He had died earlier that same day... Like, within those past few hours, and that kinda hit me.

^ In addition to what I said above, I'd just like to add that, as you said yourself, this piece is very motivational. In fact, when I first saw this animation, I was inspired to pick up where I had left off before in my artistic career. So, that being said: thank you for being such an inspirational person

Just felt like saying that even Top Stick is below this on my favorite stick figure animations list.
Here's the list:
1. FLLFFL vs Thunder
2. Breaking Rust
3. Top Stick
4. The Comeback Collab 3
5. League of Legends: Stick Figure Spotlight
This was also the video that got me into animation in general. So... thanks.

Insta favorite. Unbelieveable creativity with the fight, fits the music and the animation has an actual meaning.
Definitely an inspiration on many levels. Can't say anything else than thank you for this.

I watched Shock 1 and 2 from Terkoiz and Nhazul's combo videos when I got inspired to learn about animation. Sadly after that, the excitement faded over time. After watching this a few months back for the first time, Something made me hit 'replay', and then I was moved to tears as the music and the fight blended in my head, and after that the 'ending theme' was like a hammer, driving a nail into it's final resting place.
There have been several things in my life that I said that I wanted to do; learn to play music and instruments, flash animation, Russian and Japanese, learn stick, ride a motorcycle- the list goes on. So many things that I've found some reason why I shouldn't bother trying to do something or go somewhere, and all because of whatever insecurities I was experiencing at the time. I don't know how dumb I sound, saying that a stick video gave me the kick-start I need, But because of this, I've finally started moving forward. Granted it took some months, and it isn't a very big step, but I've started to actually GO somewhere, picking up a few of those things on my 'to-do list', and trying to get them scratched off, starting with animation and a language.
Someone else might have given me the inspiration to start the animation stuff, but your Breaking Rust is the thing that has finally given me the encouragement and motivation to actually make it happen, and to go after some of my other dreams and goals. Just wanted to say thank you for that.
PS: Great video, before I forget to say it, heheh xD

Hah, wow definitely one of the longest if not the longest comment I've received. But yeah I'm glad I could be of some help. I guess the time I took to make it was of some use. Thank you very much for this comment it put a smile on my face and possibly made my day. All the best on your path to whatever you want to do. Just know it won't be easy. But that's what keeps it exciting. Thank you again.

I found this a little while ago on StickPage, and it has quickly become my favourite out of all the animations in the "One Hit Wonder" section.
Plus, it introduced me to "Break it out", which is an amazing song!
This is fantastic work <3

I watch breaking rust many times i also downloaded it to my USB so that every time i got bored i watch it. Cool and outstanding animation bro. This is the reason why i started making stick animation because of effects, kicks, background, poem or quotes, and punches(love it). But i was having trouble of what moves would go next. I was using Macromedia 8. hahaha and also Nhazul i cant believe Nhazul commented^^, i like nhazul's stick animation i think the effects and sounds came from dragon ball? am i right? . . . . . . . . . any way keep up the good work kenseit and can u give me your email address i really need your help in something!!!!! if its ok . . . . . . . . . . Kneseit and Nhazul ROOOCCCKKKKSSS!!!!!!! damnn i luv u guys
