Description
John Travolta and Olivia Newton John from GREASE"We're for each other like
A wop ba-ba lu-mop and wop bam boom
Just like my brother is
Sha na na na na na yip-pit-y dip de boom
Chang chang chang-it-ty chang shoo-bop
We'll always be together
Wha oooh yeah!
We'll always, be together
We'll always be together"
I honestly cry at the end of this movie EVERY TIME! And it's because of this song! They're all graduating and leaving each other...
Reminds me of how cruel the world really is, and how much better it was back in the 50's....
minus the discrimination against the black community...and no xbox or internet... that would kill me.
I hope you like it

Ahhhh, a Grease fan huh?Β Β I love anything that has to do with the 50's, even though it is before my time.Β I even have a jukebox, a 1958 Seeburg 220:
markt.jukebox-world.de/oc-contβ¦
That model year was one of the last machines that were made where you could see the record playing and it is the first stereo jukebox made.
It certainly does put the Shama Lama in the Ding DongΒ (That's a good song BTW.)
Here is one of my favorite songs I like to play on it:

Oh boy, I think we both opened up a can of worms here.Β You got me started on the 50's.
Here is one of my all time 50's favorites:

And don't forget Peggy Sue!

'Oh Well, I love ya gal and I want you Peggy Sue"
BTW, if you liked Grease you will LOVE American GraffitiΒ Β LOTs of 50's music.
Nice job on the drawing BTW.

Could you re-submit to the correct pastel folder. Is it oil or chalk?

this is rendered so beautifully, i am really attracted to it even though i am not a big grease fan- because of the subject matter it does have a kitschy feel which is difficult to avoid but i really like this all the same

I love the mood of this picture. Great use of color, especially the blue. I actually haven't seen this movie, but my friends all love it. They're constantly telling me to watch it, so maybe I will eventually

Fantastic shading again! You are just a lovely artist.
I'm really enjoying the use of blue in this piece, definitely not overused. It hits just the right notes. And I really love the texture in Sandy's hair. Overall, this is a lovely piece.

Definitely an artist's work. You can sell it in an exhibition or something.
The colours and lights or something about it I can't really put my finger on, something about the way you made this art makes it vintage. Yeah, I think it's the colours. Lovely, sculpted cheekbones of the female. The way you coloured the cheeks, if I'd been the one holding the pastel the art would probably come out all out of shape. Mmmhmm, yes, direct eye contact of the two subjects, I always find that hard to do, especially if the subject in the art were to stare in the eyes of the viewer.
Apparently you did a very great job for the skin tones Each sex has a noticable skin tone, one is masculine, less peachy colours, the other is more soft and vibrant.
Oh! I think I know what gives it that vintage style. Probably the texture
