Description
Snow is very special to me and Red. Too bad neither of us are particularly romantic souls, at least not when our aft-plates are coldI actually shot this two months ago too and forgot about it. See, there was a snowfall in between shooting the different parts of the Halloween comic, which interrupted it for a bit. So I shot this instead.
The first panel is cleverly faked. I don't have a camera with a remote shutter or whatever it's called. Luckily the garage and tree were framed so nicely by the window that I could just paste a separate photo (taken from outside with the ten-second timer) right into it. Science!
Oh, and Jazz's arm is in a sling because his shoulder pin is defective. His arm just flops around. I am trying to find a way to fix it, but they just don't seem to sell that kind of pin anywhere that I can find. Well, he gets special attention and milks it for all it's worth, so it's not TOO bad for him

Did anyone else read Mirage's text in an Indian accent when Jazz called him "Raj"?

gorilla glue fixes very well. I live in Texas.
We are having a very warm wnter. It's in the high sixtys to low seventys. Which I hate. MI'm goy friends call me a penguin. I love the cold and I'm going thru menopause. I WANTED a cold winter so I could just step out the door to cool off the hot flashes. Tell Red he is being a jerk and if he doesn't like being with you outside I'm sure Thrust wouldn't mind.

Oh, he enjoys it. He just complains when he's happy. It's how I know
I'm exploring some ways of fixing Jazz's arm. It's a different sort of defect than I normally deal with and I don't want to risk messing him up permanently. Meanwhile his injury is getting him lots of attention from the ladies

Remove the pin, cover it in clear nail polish or superglue, and then put it back in.

I was thinking along those lines. The issue with this pin is not that it's too loose in the shoulder joint, but that it's supposed to actually screw in behind his headlight. The threads are shredded and it doesn't secure, so the pin actually rotates when it's supposed to stay firm. I was thinking using a small bit of resin adhesive to secure the screw in place, but I haven't been brave enough to try yet

Yeahhhhh--snow.
I've lived in Florida, Texas, New Orleans and Guam so I agree with Red; snow may be special, but the cold still sucks---which is why I'm really, REALLY happy that we haven't had snow yet, and its been 50 degrees where I live for the last three days.
Viva global warming!

My camera is pacified by natural light. If there is any natural light, it is happy and takes lovely pictures. If the light is not natural... yeah. No power in the verse'.

Jazz with a sling. You have recoperating bots all over the place! At least they're in good hands.
I like the snow...when I'm looking out the window...from inside...all warm and toasty. With a nice BIG cup of hot coffee or tea. And no where to go. That's when I really like the snow.

Yeah, I may just be picky about the condition of my toys, lol. But Jazz's arm is a major posing issue... I literally can't move it at the shoulder. For shelf-decorating it wouldn't matter, but I play with these dudes! Like, all the time
We haven't had fresh snow for a few weeks and the stuff here is getting gross. Nature! We need topping off here! If there's gonna be snow, it really should be pretty

This is sweet and it pisses me off, because at home there's no snow, which is one of my favorite things. Perhaps when I get to Paris (right now I'm in London ) it will be snowing.

Poor little guys. Mine hunker down under the furnace vents (I live in a basement, so the vents are on the ceiling) and sneak into my bed at night to snuggle for warmth. We want summer back

I'm just curious because I know you gotta heat a house to 115 degrees to kill off bed bugs for sure. That's my worst nightmare... BED BUGS...

Kenthayle In reply to Nagi-Oki [2012-01-03 08:27:37 +0000 UTC]
Oogh, I did not know that! I don't know what that would do to them honestly. The lizards' basking spots are more concentrated heat than the ambient temp of a house, but... . Well to be safe, if you ever have to do that, It might be best to pack up all the dudes and move them to the garage or something. Although... now that I think about it, there are plenty of household items made of probably the same plastic as TF toys and it seems unlikely they are in any danger from those temps...
You know, I'm starting to really how little I actually know about plastic. I think a wikipedia trip is in order...

Kenthayle In reply to Nagi-Oki [2012-01-03 22:58:31 +0000 UTC]
Okay, wikipedia has informed me that the high-density polyethylenes commonly used for toys do not melt at temperatures below 200F, so we're good [link] . I guess my guys can sit under the lamps if they want to, lol. However, they should avoid UV rays, as those can degrade the plastic over continual exposure.
And now I know!
