Description
Submitting this to give a preview of the next collaboration sketchThis is something I drew while watching a documentary on the A-bomb. It has been up on my old tumblr for a year or so. I never uploaded it here because I wanted to colour and finish it, but actually it's been in my mind for some time to nudge it towards 'Sita's side of the table. Her lovely, gritty colouring style would be a perfect fit.
When I drew it, I envisioned the sun setting/rising behind Dirtbike and casting its light over the burnt out city (it's an Earth city, btw). I sort of wanted it to look hopeful despite the devastation. But I'll leave it to you, 'Sita, for what you'd like to do with it.
Dirtbike belongs to me. She needs some quiet time now, leave her be.

This is just... wonderful.
My mind just started to put colors here and there and the image came finish in an instant. This is a beautiful drawing, Thayle!
The meaning of this picture hits you even without colors. You are a great artist, and I will be glad to collaborate with you again in this. I had the same idea on the sun rising part. This will be work fine.
Gracias. Lo estaré esperando (=

There's a few of her sad. I don't really like to draw her sad, it's like when kittens look pathetic. All of the feels, man

Seen this sort of thing before--not on such a large scale, but having seen it more than once is too much--the devastation just hangs in the air no matter how long ago the violence--so I'll be interested to see how this turns out when its finished.
Yeah, these sorts of things always make me melancholy, but good art is still good art, no matter the source...

I've visited Peace Memorial Museum in Hiroshima, and that is somewhere I'd like not to see more than once in my life. Hiroshima itself though is beautiful... there's nothing left of the destruction except a single building, the only building that was standing at ground zero. They reinforced it as it was after the bombing and turned it into a memorial. The rest of the city is rebuilt. It was actually one of my favourite places to stay.
That's kinda what the pic was supposed to be and why I wanted to colour it before posting. I wanted to make it seem like there was hope left after the destruction.
