Drift has been a big of an enigma until recently. When he first got here, all he wanted was to sit on top of my shelves amid my dragon statues and look out over the room. I often he forgot he was there. I figured he was busy searching for some deep hidden secret like inner peace or nirvana or something, and so I didn't bother him.But every now and then this laid-back, tongue-in-cheek personality surfaces and I've realized he's more like hitchhiking beach-bum than a ronin samurai. He still doesn't say much, but I think this whole time he's been watching us like a big reality TV show.
Agh, my carpet was filthy.

I didn't at first, but he just hung around on the shelves so long that I finally thought what the hey, and got him. He's actually a really cool toy. He's got these little swords that tuck into his side-wings and he's really sturdy. Plus his lightpiping works at a different lighting angle than most of the others, so I can get different shots with him

Well! Gotta hand it to the guy. I have a problem getting the mechs out of that wrapping, and I'm licensed to use a leatherman AND a sword (which, considering the kids, stays locked in a separate house altogether).
Red looks like his brainbox just dropped down into his oil pan in that last panel.

Those packages are pretty well sealed. I've found just taking a scalpel to the plastic front gets them out pretty easily. I was cutting the back before, and this was the result and eventual inspiration for this comic

I love that meditation pose you got him in. Very zen. Though I have trouble seeing Drift all mystical and ninjaesque now since I monkeyed with him. I can't take him seriously any more lol

Though I think my Drift is still on a personal quest for inner peace of some kind, he's just going about it in a very ... relaxed way. Smelling the roses along the way and whatnot. And enjoying the shenanigans we put on for him

Red was so pleased with that datapad. It's only drawn on a piece of cardpaper, but he writes his to-do lists very lightly in pencil and then erases them so he can use it again. He's very economical

XD Thanks! I'd wanted to make Red a datapad out of an old dental floss box, but I couldn't find it. So I quickly drew one up on cardpaper. I'll get him a more permanent one soon

I have few TF comics ... I've bought some of the older ones, but very little of the new stuff, although I've heard it's good. I'm just less impressed with mainstream comics than I was five years ago, I guess.

Thanks! It was a little frustrating trying to get him in that pose ... his legs look a little ridiculous but oh well. Strangely, Red does a fantastic meditation pose.
