Just some pointless drivel drawn between dinner and dessert. I brought Red to Easter dinner with me. He comes to all my family dinners, though he usually stays in my bag. But it was so nice out, and I was walking through a park to get to my dad's house, and there was squishy half-melted snow all over the grass ... so I had some fun tromping through it in my sandals. Hanging out with Red is strangely uplifting ... his cranky pessimism just brings out the optimist in me.It was such a nice spring day that I brought Red out to ride in my shirt pocket. I was getting funny looks from people the whole way there, even the little kids on their bikes. I am officially "that crazy lady"

Gosh, Red is so loved and yet still so cranky. Guy doesn't know how good he has it. And the mental picture of you running around with him in your shirt pocket cracks me up.

He doesn't like change, it seems. Or maybe it works the other way and my springtime exuberance just brings out his cranky side. Even when he complains, I can tell when he's enjoying himself
I carried him in my shirt pocket often in the winter, where he'd be covered up with my big coat. Not nearly as many funny looks then

Red loves spending any time with me, especially time specifically meant for him, when the others are left at home. But he isn't a fan of change and spring just seemed to put him in a bad mood. Which is okay, because his bad moods are adorkable

Well, I don't know--maybe you mistook it for a daffodil peeking out of the snow and thought Wheeljack would look cute digging it out--like--someone I won't name did a few days ago.
Okay, so the military left me bad eye sight, but that's NOT my fault. And anyway--Wheeljack had it coming for blowing up my microwave...

It's fine when I'm walking, he stays pretty securely in there. If I was riding a bike though, I'd have to keep him in the bag. He probably break to pieces if he fell out
