Just a silly little idea I had. Since the theme for Summer Library this year was "Catch the Reading Bug," I immediately thought of the Insecticons.I don't know what section of the library they're in. Probably cookbooks.
Shrapnel's going to be in BIG trouble here soon... and who wants to be the one to tell Bombshell that the book he picked has nothing to do with bugs?

Kenya: First you have to open it.
Shrapnel: How do I do that?
Kenya: You take the cover, and flip it, like so...
Shrapnel: Mine refuses to open.
Kenya: No no, it has to be frontways.
Shrapnel: I see. I have copied this text, now what do I do?
Kenya: You have to change pages, you do that like opening, except you flip a single page.
Shrapnel: Page?
Kenya: Like the internet, books consist of a number of interconnected pages of text and graphics, however, this is a linear connection, with each page following another and being preceeded by another in progression.
Shrapnel: How many pages, exactly?
Kenya: Anything from a few to hundreds, depending on the book.
Shrapnel: Loading time?
Kenya: You can flip through it in a few seconds.
Shrapnel: I see... now if I want to retrieve the previous page of text?
Kenya: Then you merely grab this page and flip it the other way.
Shrapnel: I closed my book, now all the text is unreadable.
Kenya: It's upside down, your book must be properly orientated to open.
Shrapnel: I see. And if I want to add information?
Kenya: Pen use is for advanced users only.
Shrapnel: Amazing.

I thinking they're in the 629s (automotive maintenance) 614s (self help) or The Magazine section-- they might be reading Hot Rod or somesuch lookin' for Transformer babes. lol.... Maybe they're on a high fiber diet, hence the munching of pages....

It gets crazy during the summer. Gregg works in the back cataloguing, though, so he doesn't deal with the crowds as much.

Shrapnel and Bombshell can trade. I'd have no complaints if Shrapnel decided to chow down on Lord of the Flies. Having to read it and then analyze the hell out of it for English class quickly destroys any enjoyment one might have got from it.

Ah, Lord of the Flies! Perhaps not necessarily dealing with insects, although that scene with the pig's head was certainly disturbing... And since it involves psychological, Bombshell might be getting ideas.

I haven't read Lord of the Flies, but my sister gave me a complete lecture on the book after she read it. It pretty much turned me off of wanting to read it myself.
