Wow, I was just looking at this image in the book a few moments ago--who would think I might know the illustrator!
My favorite part of this image was how stark and serene the symbol of Ioun is; it seems to befit a deity of knowledge well, and the attitude of the subject seems suitably reverent for such a character as well. In a lot of the other illustrations, the holy symbols seem like an afterthought, jangling from a belt or a pommel--this came as a nice change.
Though I found the axe seemed a little small, for some reason...maybe the other illustrations just feature ones that are garishly oversized?
