Indeed: ultimately! A realistic "hero"! How would you react if a 10yard monster appears trying to eat you? Jump on his knee to cut his throat? Unlikely.
Back to topic. I love your details especially the background is stunning full of fire, mist and scary mood. The beast itself is overwhelming and well drawn, the only thing which would make it even more realistic would be some mud or even blood on its skin.
Nevertheless a great picture and awesome idea!
