Get a tablet, and start getting used to it.
From here it's all about learning some tricks with the software you're using and pratice a little more everyday.

The whole thing rocks! The lighting, details, angle, scene and the expression on that poor guys face is priceless! I sure hope he's running towards an army or a "friendly" monster that'll kick the giant crab monster dude's ass! Love it!
