Description I just started using lightwave at work (having to learn it on my own) for visualization and motion graphics work, and possibly some serious fx work but that'll be on down the road a bit. this is a first lighting/material test using base lightwave. I tried to get a nice almost photorealistic effect with the reflections, using the hdr support in lightwave to make pseudo-glossy reflections. I didn't actually use any hdr images, I just turned up the luminosity and intensity on appropriate lights and objects (the fake window object and the spotlight I used to simulate that) there's some things wrong with it here and there, and the props I took for the couch and chair horrible eventhough I completely redid the materials. I should have modeled everything, which I may still do. but, anyhow.

lightwave 7.5c, 4 lights, dual g5 2 ghz, 1gig ram. no post except for resizing.

Nice, especially the reflections in the floor look good.
But you got some bug just above the corner between the wall and the roof, above the couch. Also there is a strange reflection on the wall being illuminated, definitly looks off
