well I was planning on keeping this under wraps until it was finished, but lately I haven't had alot of time for it, so, here she is. this is a concept for a game I'm involved with, same game as one of the other things I've uploaded here. this is the home planet of one of the alien races in the game, the alien being the one pictured. normally you wouldn't really see the alien without equipment but I figured it's hanging out around it's house so why not.all hand drawn with my mouse in ps 5, no reference.
and yeah the clouds were hard.
the finished might be up in, oh, like a month or so. heh.

Sorry for the blurb, but this is an incredibly sinpiring work. I absolutely love the wet rubber appearance of the creature's skin. And the atmosphere reminds of something familiar..I can't put a finger on it. How i adore the sky.

thanks so much for the comment. the skin was actually pretty easy, just had to pick the colors right, figure out where the specular reflections would be and make sure they were sharp enough. as for the environment I was just going for a sort of wet almost aquatic overcast look.
and don't worry about the blurb, inspiration breeds inspiration.
