I think this is quite a profound painting with a well thought story behind it. I like especially the style, I think, the lack of detail makes the piece easier to relate and for the imagination to continue with the story.

Such a beautiful image, it's like the emergence of the apocalypse or something and the title is ironic, because there's nothing left of home. The little boy's sombrero aww, so cute. I like how he still has his puppy by his side, connoting some kind of hope. Maybe I'm bullshitting here, but it really is a amazing work.
