Question: How does one make the outlining look like that? Like, the outlining that's exposed to the transparent BG? How its thicker than all of the other lines? I could never figure out how to do that. Thank you!

In photoshop, duplicate all the layers and merge them together. Then in layer effects, choose stroke set to black and choose your width =]
