Is there any background to this work? Any back story that develops the species or the character portrayed here? I'm interested in developing this species for inclusion in an rpg.

The lighting is ethereal, and the indigo-purple tone helps.Β However, I'm finding the alien physiology a bit jarring. It really could be pure human from the armpits down.
