Until the PS1 came out, Contra was known as Probotector in Europe (at least the home versions), I was always a fan of Probotector and never liked the Contra versions as much as I liked Probotector... I don't know... I am not a fan of your every day Rambo ripoff and more of a fighting robots guy ^_^
Konami! PLZ reboot Probotector! Let the Armature Studio guys do it! loved what they did with the cancelled Maverick Hunter X game

-The cover art is an heavily edited version of a "Patlabor" DVD cover... thats where the guys at Koname took their inspiration from when they created the robot designs for Probotector ^_^

Same man. Before the internet, I didn't even know Contra was the original, I always thought Probotector was the way the game was. If they did make a new Contra game, I so want the two Probotector models as at least different skins. Plus, add in some robot enemies for variety. Please Konami, you can only go up from here, lol.

well Contra 4 did actually have the probotectors as unlockable characters and there were evil versions you had to fight.
the mindboggling thing about that is that Contra 4 was never officially released in PAL territories >_<

Yeah, I had to buy Contra 4 online. It's strange how it was never released in PAL territories, but the DS is region-free so there is that.
