Really nice! I love the Tango version: it's the only Gnome type VS I've seen where the inactive window captions aren't beige (which I find is annoying)

Nice Visual Style, I love it. But it would be nice if the colour used for balloon notifications was changed too, currently it's a manilla-yellow that looks very out of place.

~hohokus: I cannot reproduce this problem you are having, I opened the java control panel and messed around, I also downloaded and ran the "wake on lan" program and couldn't find any missing buttons or anything. Maybe if you could make sure you have the latest version installed, tell me which variation (compact, normal, tango compact, etc..) you are using and possibly link me to a screenshot so I might be able to pinpoint the problem you are having.
Here is a screencap I took, as you can see the button backgrounds are there and the checkboxes are working for me correctly.

weird. using the latest java (1.5.0 build 6). i was using the 'normal' settings of the style; tried the other variants with the same problem.
strange. everything works fine with other themes; i usually use clearlooks.

doesn't work with java apps, unfortunately. with this style in use, the app just refuses to load. (these are apps running from the desktop, not in the browser.) i'm using wake on lan from here: [link]
also: java control panel works, but checkboxes and buttons are invisible. the button text is displayed, but not the button itself. checkboxes don't exist at all.
for the time being, i'm falling back to schmoove's clearlooks -- hopefully the java bug will get fixed; i really like this style.

Very nice, very clean. I do like the old Windows-Logo (Start-Button) a lot!!!
Could you please apply some alternate colors?
Personally I donΒ΄t like that bright blue very much. IΒ΄d "recommend" several other colors as follows: Anthracite, a dark grey, a darker blue, a nice clean orange, red and green.
Everything else seems perfect to me (!).

adding windows flag to start menu looks really good.
i have one more suggestion...
please make windows tasks panel under the addres bar of explorer..
and it should be a thin bar with shining blue color of top window border...
i am seriously waiting for final versionof your vs.
