wow beautiful work! first thing that caught my eye in my dev box
the only critique I could offer, is when you go into the larger picture you are able to see black detail lines on its back/wings. It quite a harsh contrast that doesn't help it to look real. Whenever I do detail lines like those I go to an extreme dark of the colour you're painting over. So on the back section I would have taken the original green and then in the colour select moved the bar down towards the black so it was a green/black colour instead - it just helps make it look more real and blend into the picture while still adding definition - I hope that makes sense if not shout at me and I'll try again
but yet again beautiful work for your first fully digi' painting its awesome

yes really, and it kept me entertained for the thirty seconds i thought it was a photograph, by figuring out how you'd take a photo of a bird like that O_O. i was thinking that maybe you had broke into a a zoo exhibit and climbed a tree or something.

Great pic! I really enjoyed the amount of detail and the color scheme really sets a mysterious theme.
