Gah, I know this feeling all too well. That and the fact that once you notice you're getting better, and you're happy for one moment... that dark voice comes looming in and is all "Now you have to get ever better~!" and you just feel like bashing your head in with a pillow. Though I feel sorry for that pillow cause we've got some hard heads. So maybe let's not take it out on that pour pillow and save it for- I don't even know what I'm writing any more.

I feel the same way sometimes, when I feel that way, any manner of my friends huggling and comfort stops right in front of my face and falls like a stone, stubbing my toe. -might be over-exaggurating- But yeah, I always tell myself 'If I keep going with it at some point I'll be like the others, and might even be craving not being known and not being swarmed with comments and faves'

Very true. Stayed at work yesterday to do some observational drawings of the costa coffee section; all I could do was swear constantly at how crap my work is. Other people said it was ok but I think my work is terrible.

We are not alone. Sometimes it seems hard to get it right but you know that if you redo it you will make it worse, I find it helps to accept it and afterwords find out people love it.

What's the point of doing what you love if you can't enjoy your own work until long after its ceased to have any special meaning to you? Its like some huge, horrible conspiracy set against all those who simply desire to create for a living, making us ever critique our own work to death and deprive us of the joy and happines of a job well done?

Appaerrantly, this is something pretty much all internet-involved artists seem to have. (I'm talking about the dissatisfaction of work) Now, I personally think this is because there is always another web-artist who is better then you. At least, that's my experience. But then again, I guess I'm not really much of an artist yet anyways. At least, not until I get my beloved Tablet.

Yeah, my friends always freak out at me when they see me about to throw something away that to them looks amazing for some reason, but all I see is a glaring mistake... maybe we should all just be less hard on ourselves?
