Description
Holy CRAP!So, like, I was sitting around, eating raw pancake batter when, like, my water broke! Yah! Then I started having alla these contractions and stuff and that's when I knew: it was time. I was rushed to a nearby hospital where they put me up on this crazy bed with stirrups, fed me ice bits, told me to push until I GAVE BIRTH TO THIS BEAUTIFUL NEW COMIC! Funny thing was that it didn't hurt at all! Neat huh?
Anyway, yes, PART 2 of the "Goin' Deep" Dead Days series is born! Astronaut? President? Pfft, heck no, it's meant for better things: it's here to set up the rest of the series that will admittely go in weird, scary places. Hell, delving into the "artistic culture" ain't for chumps. Quailty art ain't easy... but that won't stop our guy taking the easiest possible route to artistic excellence. Stay tuned to see the pieces of crap, er, art he's sure to produce.
So that's that. Now that I've posted my baby, I think I'm having Post Partum Depression, so I'ma go eat more pancake batter and hire a nanny to deal with the little bastard. Thanks for reading everyone! Part 3 commin' soon!
-John

His teacher will be all surprised when his work ends up in the museum of fine arts. See? He has culture! lol.
Congrats on all your success. It's hard to find truly hilarious comics now-a-days- but this one truly is.
I've missed a lot since I've been gone, I need to go back and read every comic I've missed over the last year and a half. xD;; I'm sure there's plenty.
Goot'n jobe.

WOWZA! that comic truly is a miracle. the miracle of comics... um life. the life of a comic is truly a miracle. and its cool cuz unlike a baby it will never die and live on forever and ever. people should stop having so many babies and start pumping out those comics. but- like this comic points out, art doesnt always come easily- its a process, a culture thing, a miracle. yeah... i like the teacher in this comic. hes way hardcore. and has pretty cool hair for an old fogey art teacher. more art! more comics! have another baby john.

aha... this i can relate to! unfortunately, i was likely more akin to this chap way back when than i realize.
technical question: i noticed you use the "merged word bubbles" technique, regardless of which character is speaking... and i just noticed it today. which means that it works swimmingly... when did you pick that up? wish i had thought of it earlier!
excellent work as is usual. eat food that tastes good!

Hey yo!
Thanks for the comment! Yah, I grew quite fond of the "merged word bubbles" while reading comics like "Sinfest" and others, and I though it's work great for a wordy comic like mine. It does! Really frees up alot of panel space for dialog! Take it easy!

art school is fraud... who needs it? thats why i dropped out. real artists dont need crappy teachers telling them what to do.

...Which proves my old theory, you can't put the word "armadillloes" in a sentence and not have it be funny.

THis guy is just like me. In my drawing 2 class, every piece was something like "Frog Protector Robot 2,000,000" or "Various structures and landforms come to life and eat each-other, and it turns out that the circus is the most powerful" or the classic "Great big canyon filled up with monsters." The instructor loved it. All the rest of the art faculty loved it. I got an A for the class, even though my technique wasn't really all that good.

That's hilarious! It reminds me of this guy I knew in high school who used to go through my sketchbook and draw wheels on all of my drawings... Hey! Is your character left-handed? That's awesome!

.... Once I drew a nice picture of Robbin Williams... But he still had a jetpack and rockets for feet.

Heh. Frankly I'd rather see some of his stuff in a gallery than some hack trying to do hand-me-down post-modernism.
But that's just me. 'Awesome Skull' sounds like an intruiging piece.

When comparing our hero's work with Mato12345's work on the Red vs Blue forums' Photoshop Phun thread, both of their works are the same: Stuff that appears that is was made in MSPaint, and a few kickass drawings.
