Why is it whenever there are Fire Emblem characters in a pan-Nintendo comic, they're entirely OOC? I mean, I know most of the characters in this comic are exaggerated, but it's not exactly like they had an entire written script to base their portrayal on. And yeah, I realize those games are long and difficult, but a little research never hurt anybody. And believe me, there are plenty of FE characters who would gladly be part of anyone's harem... Lyn's just not one of them.
Well, as long as you promise never to do the whole narcissist!Marth and pyromaniac!Roy thing, I guess we'll let it slide...
(also I swear I'm not trying to bring this up for the sake of being snarky or anything-- still think these comics are hilarious!)

It's more funny when it actually makes sense. That's where Kevin derives most of the humor anyway: exaggerating qualities that can actually be inferred from the characters, like Luigi's inferiority complex.
Now, Lyn as an overzealous vigilante who tries to attack anyone she perceives as a "bandit?" That would be funny.

I know what the trope is, thanks. It's okay for people to have different opinions on what's funny or not. I'm just trying to explain where I'm coming from-- that doesn't have to ruin the joke for anyone else.
And admittedly this is coming from a long history of my favorite series being the only one overlooked or misportrayed in Nintendo comics. After the hilarious depressive!Lucas strip (and let's face it, he's an obscure characters), I would've been pleased to see the first appearance of an FE character in this be equally creative.

And all I'm saying is you're fighting for a logical, in character funny and I'm saying that it's probably not being done because of rule of funny-which excuses logic and ICness in favour of laugh-getting/making.
