Funny story. One of the first Mario games I played was Super Mario World, but the Game Boy port. In that version, you use R to select Mario or Luigi, but the trigger on my gameboy broke, so I used it once and it got stuck on Luigi. I played all the game as him and he became my favorite Mario Bros. character, same level with Yoshi.
You keep going Luigi, there is always fans for you.
