That's my sweetie, the human Tetris piece. We often take turns being the "wacky protagonist with god awful ideas" trope, especially around the holidays.

Nope, that is a correct turn of phrase. Look it up. A for effort, though. ^_^

Hard to tell what your cultural background is from this comic, but yes, some cultures will not give a damn about comfort just to make it work, ex. this comic.

And I know it because my grandma does it too.

So do I. Holy shi....

roflmao X'D you shoulda seen how myself and 4 other people fit ourselves into a Toyota Highlander (i think it was) after fitting a big ol' wardrobe (more or less) in there. driver seat stayed clear, but there was only room for one person to sit behind the driver, while the skinniest of us 5 wedged herself in between the wardrobe and the plastic portion where the tire is. THEN i sat on my gf's lap with my head bent at a 45 degree angle all the way home |'D i think only the driver was wearing a seatbelt, too >3>;

...everyone always forces me to be the tetris peice, just cause i'm the skinniest person almost all the time

then again, i guess that's why everyone's favorite block is the line peice.... *sigh*

I did something like that when we went camping, except it wasn't with shelves it was with coolers and groceries and suitcases. Somehow, my aunt and uncle in the front of the truck didn't get squished at all...
Great as always

I have done that quite a bit, my Mom seems to love cramming all she can into the full size van (or normal car) at the expense of her passengers. It's even worse when the thing that's in the way is people, but that's another story.

That's why I got a Scion xB. Put down the seats on the right side and throw everything in. Of course that means I gain a back-seat driver, but I can handle that.
