That's funny, I thought the same thing and did. a quick Capt. America logo on it. Was hoping they might call but no dice! This image has it all, painting and photoshopped. My idea was to take a bunch of photos and see what happened and let it organically grow over time. I've always wanted to do a model of if with full chassis and motor underneath the bodywork. It of course would be turbine powered. I don't want to give away too much of the magic though! Anything specific, shoot away. I'm trying to get Deviant into my posting more often now that I can check things out from my phone. Most of the stuff I do is a lot of phone stuff now.

Now, that's the sickest bike-job I've seen so far , the method used and the final design are quite one of a kind, so it's definitely going in my top ten

Hey, thanks so much for your comments. That piece was done using tons of photo scrap of various types of aircrafts and aircraft parts. I essentially had a big library of images that I got from a friend and tried to use those photos to design a bike with. I wanted to see what I would come up with and how an aircraft parts would influence the my design of a motorcycle. What you see is pretty much it. It was a ton of cut and pasting, blending, and lighting, all done in photoshop. I'm glad you like it and I'm pretty satisfied with the end design. I don't know if I'll do another, we'll have to see if I get inspired by the images or not.

It's a bunch of photos put together to create that design. Hope you're not disappointed. I'll add some drawings soon.

Hey, this is a really tight drawing man. I'm very impressed by the level of detail. It reminds me of a mix between a WWII fighter jet's engine, and a bike from Akira.
I'm curious how you learned to do that type of work. I'd be curious for some pointers on things. I just started posting some things on this site because my friend asked me to. But i'd like to incorporate a little bit of your ability. Mind sharing some secrets?
Great job!

I don't visit this site much, I didn't like how many steps it took me to load an image here. I'll give it a try again and see if they streamlined it all. If anyone here has any suggestions to make uploading easier it would be much appreciated.
This bike was a collage of photos that I have of tons of airplane parts taken from an airplane graveyard. The photos were given to me from a friend. You can scour the internet and get the same results. Make sure you get a decent resolution on your images, you don't want to waste time with low res images.
Start with your wheelbase, I went out there and created one very long, I knew that would give me something extreme. From there I let the design come to me through the images, it was kind of the design exercise for myself. My goal was to render as little possible and let the photos do their thing and the pieces design the bike. I thought it would give it a very real world feel and make it feel believable.
With that I'll warn you that it took a longtime to do because of the time required to cut and paste and lasso what I wanted. This image has like 100 layers, I'm not kidding, it's actually in the high 90's. I had to keep every element on it's own layer so I could go in and light and shade every piece to match the lighting so that it would look real.
Would I ever do something like this again? Perhaps if I find the right inspiration. This took over 2 years to do for me, mainly because I got sick of it and would put it away for bit.
Hope that helps you some. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for your messages, makes me want to draw!
