wonderful shot my friend you know i was thinking along the same lines as hestiation if you moved a little to the left you would have a stronger shot all together ( perfection even
) ... the little spots of black on the right are distracting ....
great shot none the less.. your lighting techniques allways please me to no ends...wish i had the same skills as you in that field

i think you meant Persephone, not Persenophe...
but apart from that, i find skin texture, pose and the body lines absolutely flawless!

Heh, the movement...It works, I can get it...
The photo itself is eloquent because it moves, the eyes follow a pattern and can watch its movement, even if its still.
Heh, im probably completely wrong, but i tried eh?

the great thing about this is the light play. warm and cool. shadow. its naked and its not sexual in the way some of this "artful nude" stuff is. Great job.

Love this one as well. What was your lighting setup here?

kevinlomax In reply to bcheung [2003-12-19 09:35:39 +0000 UTC]
Thanks for your comment! I had two light sources. The one on the left side of the picture from behind was a board on wheels about 1,80 high with 12 small halogen working lights evenly distributed on that board. The one on the front right side was another board in the same hight, just with 16 neon tubes. I used a tungsten Kodak Diafilm.

I don't know if its just a quirk with the market, but only a handful of shops in my city carry any tungsten film. i guess its just not a hot item.
great shots. great models, great lighting. great x 100 ....

Very nice effect. Do you custom build these lighting setups? I've never heard of some of the configurations you use. I guess that's what makes them so unique. Thanks for sharing.

this is like a boris vallejo painting only it's better cause it really is alive and natural, without the superhuman (and unbelievable) musculature...

Wonderful composition and lighting on this, the choice of model is great too. Toned and strong, but still soft and feminine! Bravo!

her eyes down cast followed by her face,
as she moved in the light and it shone upon her being,
her female form soft and supple full of grace,
I sought to save this image I was seeing,
her had slowly gliding across her body to her neck,
showing contures revealed by her movement,
the light across her body gave the perfect compliment,
to this visual accomplishment..............
I tried on the photo real elegant and beautiful

wonderful shot, composition, lighting, etc.
Not so wonderful crop. Not everything needs to be centered....but this crop feels almost amaturish...which completely goes against the grain of this wonderful photograph.

Superb studio shot. The pose is excellent as well as the neutrocity on the model's face. What wins me over about this image is the directional tone lighting. It is well executed to render the body as a canvas for the lights and bring out detail in her anotomy. Though the right side does seem to need a dab of warm light from a left-front lightsource. The composition is harmonious and the photograph is well balanced (doesn't seem to tip to any side)

I caught this on Gabriels page. ^^^ Him.
It didnt catch my eye as a nude photograph (although, its a plus, I'll admit it). But its the colors.
Simply put, Ive never seen a photo with colors like this. Ever.
Its fucking beautiful.
